Last week I was bragging about how my mother-in-law always uses her good dishes for Thanksgiving dinner, blah, blah, blah. Imagine my surprise when I walked in and saw the table set with paper plates. I had to laugh. It was too funny. Of course that would happen after I blog about it on a green community site.
This week I read in our local paper how they are trying to start a community garden. My husband and I both find the concept interesting and are hoping to make it to the volunteer/more information meeting this week.
I have found that as winter is rapidly approaching I haven't been very green. I haven't been entirely wasteful but I haven't been doing as well as I was during the summer.
I've been using my clothes dryer more, that is until it started making weird noises. Now, I'm hanging the clothes up all over the house to dry because I don't want to brave the cold weather outside.
I have the heat turned down but I've been using my electric blanket off and on during the day to keep warm. That is after I'm layered in clothing. I'm a firm believer in layering. I've also been making fingerless gloves to wear to try to keep warm when I'm inside. (I get cold easily.)
My question is: Do you also find yourself slacking off more in the winter?
Tabitha is trying to make the world a better place one step at a time. Whether it's through her attitude towards life's uncontrollable circumstances or through simple changes she is able to control. She is also great at making herself seem a lot more interesting online than in real life. You can find more of her at www.123pizza.org.
