I'm from KY and went to college at Berea College in KY - the family housing I lived in had a new section built - finished up while I was there, called the Ecovillage. Here's a link with a very brief description: http://www.berea.edu/sens/ecovillage/default.asp and here's some just on the "green" factor of the apts: http://www.berea.edu/sens/ecovillage/apartments.asp It's been gaining coverage in the media a lot the past couple years - the Ecovillage and the college itself. It was built with sustainability at the forefront, and there is an educational component to it, as well. When you live there, you sign on to incorporate at least two programs into your routine, but after a while, most of us do a lot more than that.
That's where I learned a lot about incorporating green ways of living into our daily lifestyle. There it is *normal* to live sustainably - but you kind of forget how much of the rest of the world doesn't do that until you move out! It was a really unique community - we miss it!

I am a mother to 1 fantastic little girl. I have a new organic baby/toddler clothing & bedding business. My business is set to launch in less than 2 weeks.
I love to be outside, hiking running, playing at the park. I coach volleyball and love to play as well.
What does it mean to be a green and clean mom to you?
Green & Clean is all about what we put in our bodies, on our bodies and send back to the earth. Everything that we use directly effects the earth, our family does our part to keep toxic chemicals out of the water and land.
How many children and what are their ages?
1. little girl who just turned 2.
What green issues do you hope to learn about through this forum?
I just love to learn more about what is happening in the green world. There are always new things happening and I would like to hear what other people think about the issues. I also feel that I have some info that others might be interested in.
I would like to learn more about the Mommy Go Green Blog Tours where I can feature and review green products on my blog.
