Welcome to Green and Clean Mom. We're so glad you've joined. Please be sure to check out the forum, add some new friends like Sommer (the founder of G&CM) and me! Start a discussion, ask questions and post pictures, videos or blog posts. Yes, here at G&CM you have your own blog! You have your own space to create, share and make yours.
We're looking for weekly contributors to post once per week and be featured on our main page. If you'd like to do this please let me know. This is something you can add to your resume or even link back to for writing and social networking experience. A great way to gain exposure.
If you have any questions about our community or would like to offer some suggestions, please let us know.
I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, a National Assoc. of Realtors "Green" designated Realtor, co-owner of a construction company and a certified Master Gardener (my hobby) who wants to help promote healthier, energy efficient and natural/organic lifestyles.
What does it mean to be a green and clean mom to you?
It means that you love children enough to want the very best for them and will do whatever you can (as a mom does) to make sure your family is healthy and has the best possible chances for a wonderful, clean, green life.
How many children and what are their ages?
My children are: twin girls - 30 years old (hey, no matter how old, they're still my babies!), son who will be 29 this year. My son has 4 children - 6 yr old, 2 yr old and twins - 7 mos old. (Yep, another set in our family!) My twin daughter is having her first child in July and we're waiting for the other to surprise us someday.
What green issues do you hope to learn about through this forum?
Since I'm a Realtor, I'm looking for ways to help my buyers and sellers, not just about buying or selling, but also about their lifestyles. I work with all kinds of properties, and have a special niche with farms, mini-farms and horse properties - the rural lifestyle is great for green living! I am always looking for ways to improve client relationships, what clients like in the way of trends and what I can do to help. Also, am very interested in children's products, organic clothing, and other green products that are fairly priced for all families to be able to afford. My particular hot button lately has been the toxic flame barriers in our mattresses - especially children's and infants. I wish there were more publicity about this.
I would like to learn more about the Mommy Go Green Blog Tours where I can feature and review green products on my blog.
