What does it mean to be a green and clean mom to you?
I love freaking out the people at the supermarket with my reusable produce bags. I'm trying really hard to have our family eat locally. I wish the whole BPA-Free thing was more clear. I'd love to switch cosmetic brands but I just can't bring myself to buy makeup without trying it on first. Proud to say, we recycle so much these days that we fill up the recycling can faster than the garbage can (now only if I had the room/inclination to compost).
How many children and what are their ages?
One daughter who is almost 2.5
What green issues do you hope to learn about through this forum?
I enjoy the sensible nature of the associated blog and I'm hoping to get more of that through this forum.

Then, I was cruising around Eco-Chick and found a post about the dangers of sunscreen. That's right, the dangers of sunscreen. Not to fear though, apparently it is possible to buy nano-particle free sunscreen for a mere $14 per one ounce. Yeah, I don't thi… Continue

Eco-Rant from my blog Don't Eat Baby

Who knew I'd be interesting enough to be a "featured member"? I think it's time for an "Eco-Rant". I just came back from a multi-generational trip to Mickey's House and I'm still in recovery. The excess of humanity, consumption, and fried food was mind boggling. Don't get me wrong, we had a wonderful time with my family and it makes me cry just thinking about my daughter's face when she finally got to meet Minnie. On the other hand, I think we could have had just as wonderful a time renting a ho… Continue
