I’m a former 5th grade Special Education teacher of fifteen years and new mother. I’ve been a vegetarian for many years and always considered myself a “green girl” but when I became pregnant in early 2007, I discovered a whole new area of health concerns that I didn’t know about - plastics, personal care products and more.
I pour over research to learn as much as possible so I can help my daughter and family to be as safe from these dangers as possible and pass this information along to others on my blog.
Recently, I was asked to try out reusable, biodegradable plates made from only leaves and water. Just leaves and water? And reusable? This caught my interest. They’re made by a company called Verterra that bases its name on a Latin term meaning “true to the Earth”.
Hello and thanks for the welcome, You mentioned you'd like a weekly contributor and I am very interested in this. I think I would have many items of interest to your subscribers. the company (gofreegogreen) i am with just launched in april so we are still getting products out we add some every monday. Thanks and let me know if i could be a contributor.
Couldn't figure out how to PM you... Do you need original content from your weekly contributors or could it be something I'm also using on my blog? You can check out www.progressivepioneer.com to see examples of what I write about.
Thanks for the nice welcome!

Hello and thanks for the welcome.
I'm happy to have a place to chat and interact with others who have similar interests.
You mentioned you'd like a weekly contributor and I am very interested in this. I think I would have many items of interest to your subscribers - I am one of the very first Green Designated agents with the National Assoc. of Realtors, an "e-PRO" (internet advertising and use from the NAR also), co-owner of a construction company AND a certified Master Gardener! I do not consider myself an expert on all things but definitely have resources to pull from! Could I possibly be of interest to what you are looking for?
Thanks!

Thanks Kirstin for the welcome. I usually write on our store blog once a week but I would be interested. Is there a way that we can set it up so that my blogs go to both?
Thanks Kristin! Yes, I would love to be involved in posting weekly. I have been wanting to get a newsletter started and this would help me to get started writing, along with giving me the opportunity to network with other concerned moms.
