I use old receiving blankets as well. I tried OBV and terry cloth as well but I actually like my cheapo flannel blanket wipes better. I didn't have a serger when I made mine to they were sewn, turned, and sewn around again. They work for poo and pee…

Great post! We can't control every hazard that comes in contact with our children and ourselves. However, making sure you use the safest products in your home is a great way to limit many of them.

I have something similar to these and also put them in my diaper bag so I always have them.

Out of curiousity what was your favorite part, or what was your best learning experience? I grew up with parents that believe in raising everything you can to suistain yourself. So it's always been apart of life for me. My husband really got into it about 10 years ago when we started dating. I love to hear how people got involved.

- I'm the only lady in a house full of guys - my hubby and two boys. I earned my master's degree in time to start my career as a stay-at-home mom, but that doesn't mean my life of research ended b/c it certainly hasn't. I spend lots of time researching greener baby products, learning about things such as bpa and cloth diapering, and bringing up boys. My blog is all about my family, greening my life, and photography (as well as cooking and a few other odds and ends). I went to college at a school that is becoming known for sustainability (Berea College) - where I also lived in the EcoVillage family housing. Being "green" was a lifestyle there, and it's become a huge part of who I am.

Cloth Wipes?

Green Seal
My family and I are in the process of buying our first home.
