Alright so all I ended up with this year was some cherry tomato plants and some strawberry plants. The other seeds I planted died in a frost. Boo. But this is my first year so live and learn right? Here is what I've got. Some of the tomatoes are starting to change colors now - yay!

Here are some pictures of my garden. The whole family has really pitched in to help this garden flourish. What amazes me is how my kiddos will eat carrots and peas from the garden but won’t touch the ones from the store. After all our carrots are gone maybe I will stick organic store bought ones in the ground and see if they fall for it ;-)

Hope your gardens are all producing bunches of yummy fruits and veggies.

ahhh to your kids being excited about bean plant :)
I managed to salvage herbs, cucumbers and ended up buying 2 tomato seedlings and now they're growing like crazy so it was total loss
should've realized 3rd floor apt during rainy season not the ideal location! lol

Sorry to hear about your garden and the storm Tara. I lost the tom. plant because of frost.

Although my garden got a late start, it is looking pretty good now. I planted one cherry tomato plant in a patio pot, so I will be curious to see how it does in comparison to the plants in my garden spot. Last year we had a pretty good crop and I made a lot of pasta sauce. I am using grass clippings for mulch this year hoping that will keep the weeds under control. By mid summer, weeding is no longer fun!

Well the seedlings I started inside all died when I accidentally left them outside overnight when it was still too cold out. I was bringing them out for direct sun during the day and totally forgot about them. Whoops. On Mother's Day I planted some strawberry plants and some tomato plants and they are all growing well.

My garden got semi trashed in bad storms we had, but the cucumbers are making a comeback and one tomato plant is growing like crazy
the green beans, lettuce, cabbage didn't fare so well in storm :(

I cannot get my pictures to download--grrrr. Anyhow we have carrots, broccoli, peas and the tomato plant is sitting in my sink. I have to plant it still. Super excited and I do have picture. I just love this group and reading your success stories!
