Green and Clean Mom

Green and Clean Mom

Well, it's summer time and all that heat and humidity causes some mold in the bathroom. I've tried a mixture of vinegar/water/borax and scrubbed with an old toothbrush but it just doesn't work! Any ideas for a "safe" alternative? I'm trying very hard not to listen to the little voice in the back of my head that's saying, "you know that bleach will take care of it". All help is greatly appreciated!

Try adding tea tree oil to your mixture, it works here in humid south florida.

Tara,
Just bought some tea tree oil. What do you suggest I add it to and how much? Thanks so much for the suggestion!

You don't want to deal with the Chlorine bleach when there are so many other great alternatives

3% hydrogen peroxide
A daily spray (40 drops of tea tree essential oil and water in a spray bottle)
(full stregth vinegar)
Invest in a shower squeegie and have everyone use it after each shower
Make sure to leave the shower door or curtain open to allow air circulation

If you have mould issues then try Concrobium...it is an all natural product and can be found at Home Depot.
