Kate,

I use G diapers and absolutely love them. I recently switched from Fuzzi Bunz which leaked on my son and were too much maitenance. The G Diapers work great, are super cute, and the company has great customer service. I have put several posts you might find helpful at my blog: www.tinydecorblog.com

Here are my two top posts on G Diapers:

My kids were too old to try them when I discovered them. They didn't want to make the switch really. I hear they're great. I love seventh generation.

Considered using G diapers, but didn't fit the budget - unless I want to go back to work! Luckily I stumbled upon, and now love, Swedish-made Nature Babycare biodegradable diapers at Target. Although available only at select Target's (call yours and ask them to find one that does), diapers.com carries them, too. They are priced the same as other disposables (at Target; slightly more on diapers.com) and attribute this to virtually no marketing. They feel kind of paper-y on the outside, but are very soft on the inside (where it's important to be soft!). Makes me feel better that the dipes and the refill in my Diaper Dekor are both biodegradable!

I also use the Nature Babycare diapers. Sometimes I just want a break from doing laundry, so I keep a stash of these on hand. This way I feel less guilty about using the disposables. They are a little stiff on the outside, but my son always seems comfortable in them. They are also nice when I am out of the house or for babysitters.

Nature Babycare also has good wipes and biodegradable baggies for diapers when you are out on the go.

When I tried them (2-3 months old) they didn't fit and leaked. Since then I have had luck with cloth and Seventh Gen.

Now that my son is a chunk at 10 months I bet they would fit just fine.

My best friend uses them- I was at her house last weekend and she ran out and I had to change the baby's diaper. I'm happy to report they were completely intuitive, not any harder to figure out than regular diapers.

Yes I use them I love love love them. There is a learning curve for sure, and sometimes a bump in the road as baby grows and the fit changes a little bit. But I feel so great about them because all the waste goes in the toilet and not in a landfill. If I had to do it again I might skip the first size. My little guy was only in them for about a two months before I had to switch to the next size, and newborn poop didn't stay contained well to the snap in for me so I had to wash the little g's quite a bit. Now that he is bigger they work way better than the 7th gens at containing poop. I love them,

We have used gdiapers since our little one was in the hospital, and he's six-and-a-half months now. There CAN be a bit of a learning curve - but they really are not hard to figure out. :) We did have a stint where he was kind of "between sizes" for a bit (we used small liners & inserts with the medium gpants, and that worked fairly well). Now that mediums fit him perfectly - we never have leaks! We *LOVE* gdiapers!! The product is great, the customer service is OUTSTANDING - we love everything about them!! We do use bumgenius cloth diapers at night. We could probably now use g's at night, but there for a while, they just weren't holding enough through the night, and the BG's work fine for that. We have a heavy-wetter, so nighttime diapers can get pretty wet. But we use only g's during the daytime. We use both the g flushable inserts and cloth inserts (there is a lady that makes some to fit g's if you are interested - just let me know!! they also fit into other pocket diapers, such as the bumgenius).

For those that say g's are expensive - they're not too much more than disposables. And there are ways to cut costs easily. You can get a case of the flushable inserts from amazon.com for $40-or-so if you do the "subscribe & save" (also free shipping). Babies R Us now carries them, too - and you can get gdiaper coupons to use with them. I should be getting stuff for becoming a gmum soon, and that includes coupons to give out... ;) ALSO, we have gotten a lot of used and new gdiapers (gpants and lots of flushables) from places like craigslist and people selling on the gdiaper yahoo group. We've saved a TON of money this way!! I've learned a lot about g's and some great tips - let me know if you have any questions. I'm happy to share any/everything I know!

We use them on our little boy who is two months old now. I LOVE them. Not only is he so stinkin cute in them but they work great. I tried them when he was a little small and had to wait a couple of weeks and try again and they are great now. I am currently looking to stock up on the size Med covers is anyone is selling :-)

I love g diapers, but I use them mostly with prefolds. I use the flushies when flying! They are great!

If you want to get started I have a coupon code to save 30$ on a starter six pack on gidapers.com

gDiapers were actually my transition diaper to cloth from traditional disposables. I loved them, but felt that it would be best for us to go one step beyond. We still use them whenever travel, or if I know I will be out of the house for a long period because they are easier to deal with out of the house (with flushies or cloth inserts). The trick to using gDiapers is to make sure that you get the fit right. It might take a little time to get it right, but we've found that they are a really great option.

They are a little more expensive than disposables, but in my world it was worth it to know that my daughters diapers weren't going to spend eternity in a landfill. I was able to find some ways to help bring the cost down. gDiapers sales and Subscribe and Save on Amazon have helped a lot!

Good luck!
